Summer Camp 2008HLC is offering a structured, fun-filled summer camp with many options for children ages 3-21.
Our core weekly camp topics will offer socialization, art, science, as well as, community outing opportunities
within a small group setting (1 teacher: 4 students) for school age students. For our preschool students,
discrete trial instruction in a 1:2 setting will incorporate these themes.
Community outings, including swimming, will be scheduled each week for school age students.
Camp hours are from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM with latchkey available before and after these times for an additional
charge. Students must bring their own lunch and snacks. Typical siblings are encouraged to attend as well.
Themes will be incorporated throughout the week and activities will be geared towards two
different age levels (5-12 and 13-21). The younger grades will explore the topics through a variety of
activities and older grades will expand on these topics and focus on application in the community and life skills.
Planned Topics:
Small group instruction is available upon request to target IEP goals or a more intensive
behavioral intervention set-up for younger students at an additional cost. A student who needs a 1:1 aide is
welcome to bring a respite provider or Haugland Consulting can meet with you to address your needs. If it is
determined that your child needs a 1:1 aide, these options and the additional costs will be discussed.
