Our camp incorporates activities that focus on the development of social, behavioral and life skills. These skills are not only directly taught but are reinforced through application by direct instruction, hands on lessons, structured parallel play and community-based instruction.
In addition, we consider the individual goals and objectives outlined in the students’ IEPs and incorporate lessons and activities that further work on this individual skill development.
Examples of community-based instruction during the camp may include: outings to the library, park, restaurants, museums, bowling alley, etc.
